At first glance, there does not seem to be much difference between a hydromassage system and an air massage system in a hot tube. Both systems provide a jet massage in hot tub. But if you look a little deeper, you will quickly realize that there are some important differences between a hydromassage system and an air massage system. The main distinguishing feature between the two massage systems is the jet mechanism. Simply speaking, hydromassage uses water jets, while an air massage system uses air jets. The most notable difference is the feeling. The hot tub with hydromassage system is equipped with classic, high-pressure, deep-massaging jets, which most people associate with hydrotherapy. In the hot tub with an air massage system, instead of some concentrated jets, there are many jets of air that shoot millions of massaging bubbles. It is a softer feeling, but still very relaxing.
Another difference between a hot tub and an air massage system is maintenance. Both are relatively easy to clean. To clean the hydromassage system, simply add detergent and run the system for a few minutes. For tubs with an air massage system, simply drain the water from the hot tub and turn on the system until all the water is blown out of the system.
When choosing a massage system for your hot tub, there are a few points to consider:
If you are sensitive to noise, the hydromassage system will be quieter than the air massage system.
The use of oil products is not recommended as they may clog the nozzles and mechanisms and some salts may cause rusting. Water – soluble products are best and should be used in small quantities. Bath foam can be used in small quantities (if you use large quantities, massage systems will quickly whip up a mountain of foam!).
Can’t decide which massage system to choose?
We offer hot tubs with both systems. The hot tub with both massage systems allows the user to choose the bubble experience, taking into account today’s mood! So, if one day you want a deep tissue massage and the next day a soft, foaming feeling, then the right choice will be a hot tub with both types of massage systems.
